Armed Forces Month: Wounded Warrior Project Donations

Wounded Warrior Project Donations:

April is coming to an end and we are springing into the flowery month of May! May is Armed Forces month, and KIA Autosport will be donating money from every car sold to the Wounded Warrior Project.  WWP is a great service that honors and empowers Wounded Warriors. We are so honored to help and support these service members any way we can.

Wounded Warrior Projects was started up by veterans and friends who were touched by stories of the first wounded service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. They took action and helped those in need of care. WWP started out as something so small and has become such a huge impact on many injured service members through the years. Tens and thousands of Wounded Warriors and caregivers receive support and more through the WWP Programs.

WWP Vision:

·         To foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.

WWP PURPOSE:

·         To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.

·         To help injured service members aid and assist each other.

·         To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members

WWP CORE VALUES: Each core value is lived out each day at WWP.

·         Fun

·         Integrity

·         Loyalty

·         Innovation

·         Service

We are honored to help support the Wounded Warrior Project during the month of May and would love to have the community get involved as well. If you would like to read more about the Wounded Warrior Project or make a donation today visit their website at http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ . Whale of a Sale

We are so excited to announce our partnership with the Tallahassee Junior League. We are one of their proud sponsors for the 2011 Whale of a Sale!

The Whale of a Sale what some may call a garage sale; it features gently used, quality merchandise at prices. We hear that the day of the sale is a sight to see within itself. Outside of the sale will be our first Tent Sale of 2011! We will have tons of cars and our salesteam to help customers out at the sale. The actual sale starts at 8am and goes to 3pm at the former Goody's location in the Tallahassee Mall.

The reason We, at Kia Autosport of Tallahassee, have chosen to sponsor this event is that all the money raised flows back to the community through the Junior Leagues various charities. The Junior League focuses on children and families throughout Tallahassee. From Operation Prom Dress, Fostering Hope, Kids Boutique, and Kids in the Kitchen; we share in The Junior League's dedication to serving a community.

As if the sale, within itself, is not exciting, there is a pre-party THIS Friday from 6-10pm at the same location as Saturday's sale. The tickets to this are $25.00 day of, and the party features food and drinks catered by The University Club of Tallahassee, a live auction, entertainment, and of course view our 2011 Kia Lineup! For tickets and more information please visit www.jltallahassee.org.

Information for both events are posted on our Facebook Page!

Kia Autosport Supports The Fight Against Breast Cancer

In 2009, an estimated 192,370 women in the United States were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and about 40,610 women were expected to die from the disease.

Breast Cancer is a disease that Kia Autosport is dedicated to fighting. We, as a family, are showing our support in several ways. I urge all of our dedicated readers to take a second and join us however you can.

All of our employees are wearing pink ribbons in an effort to show our support in the smallest way, but we know there is so much more we are capable of doing...

For the entire month of October, Kia Autosport will donate $50.00 to the American Cancer Society for every new or used Kia sold. Our goal is to sell 100 cars and write a check for $5,000! Melanie has informed me that when we make that goal, we will DOUBLE the amount. LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

We are partnering with Cumulus Broadcasting all month to fight breast cancer. We are hosting an event on October 23rd that we hope to see everyone at! I'll blog again with more details on how to get involved, so i hope to see all of our family members there. Rumor has it, we'll have some goodies to give away!

Breast Cancer has effected all of us in some way, so for that reason, Kia Autosport knows just how important this fight is. We'd love to see ya'll help too!

And remember, breast cancer does not just affect women; In 2009, about 1,910 men in the United States were diagnosed with breast cancer. If this is not a worthy cause, I do not know what is!
